Leading know-how in the production of wire springs!

The wire springs division produces compression springs with wire diameters ranging between 0.25 and
6 mm. The focus is laid on springs with a very narrow coiling ratio, i.e. which have a very low ratio between spring diameter and wire diameter, as well as very narrow tolerances of spring forces and spring deflections.

Compression springs made of round wire

  • Wire springs with a wire diameter of 0.25 to 6.00 mm
  • Linear or progressive load
  • Specialty: Tightly-wound compression springs
  • 100% inspection on modern automatic testing and assembling machines
  • Additional treatment available e.g. plasma-nitride

Compression springs made of section wire

Helical compression springs made of section wire are used when the optimum round-wire design is not possible due to the mounting space conditions. Section wire springs have

  • evenly distributed pressure,
  • a flat, cylindrical outer spring edge,
  • a small outer diameter and
  • greater distance between coils compared to round wire springs

Areas of application

The springs are mainly used in the automotive industry, including both for conventional and modern diesel injectors as well as modern gasoline direct injection systems. Some important terms like pump-nozzle systems and common rail are used for diesel engines. In fuel-powered vehicles we speak of FSI (fuel stratified injection) for VW and Audi or GDI (gasoline direct injection) for Daimler Chrysler and Mitsubishi.
