The KERN-LIEBERS Group of Companies has joined the UN Global Compact as of January 31, 2022.
We as KERN-LIEBERS do not just want to talk about our responsibility towards corporate sustainability but live it. With this participation we have committed ourselves to complying with and taking action in supporting the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals to contribute to a better world of tomorrow. Also in our strategy, sustainability is an important part of the KERN-LIEBERS Group of Companies. Joining the UN Global Compact is a first important step in the right direction.
The UN Global Compact was launched in 1999 as a global corporate responsibility initiative at the instigation of UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. The UN Global Compact is aimed at companies worldwide that jointly pursue the goal of aligning their activities and strategies with defined principles in the areas of human rights, labor standards, the environment and climate, and corruption prevention.
With more than 12,000 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and 69 Local Networks, it is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world.
