On 20 May 2015, a delegation of the Administrative Board and the Management Board of KERN-LIEBERS visited the subsidiary KERN-LIEBERS INDIA to formally inaugurate an extension at its plant in Tumkur, an hour's drive from Bangalore. With the addition of 7,500 square meters, the plant now has a production area of 15,000 square meters, used to manufacture precision parts for automotive applications in the areas of wire and strip springs as well as fineblanked and stamped parts. The plant currently employs 450 people and generates sales of around 20 million euros per year.
Numerous representatives of customers, partner companies and from the worlds of business and politics attended the ceremony. "It is our confidence in the general economic environment, in reliable customer relationships, in our workforce and in our high-quality, technologically sophisticated products that warrant further investment in this country," said KERN-LIEBERS CEO Dr. Udo Schnell in his speech.
