Dr. Erek Speckert will remain Chief Executive Officer for five more years

KERN-LIEBERS extends contract with CEO Dr. Erek Speckert ahead of schedule until end of 2028

-    Alexander Tobert will leave the KERN-LIEBERS Group by end of the year

-    Udo von Reinersdorff will be appointed new CFO of the KERN-LIEBERS Group

Dr. Erek Speckert, whose current assignment runs until December 2023, will remain Chief Executive Officer of the KERN-LIEBERS Group for five more years. During the shareholder meeting on October 24, 2022, it was decided to extend his contract until December 2028.

“Since joining KERN-LIEBERS beginning of 2021, Dr. Erek Speckert has shown outstanding leadership skills in his role as Chief Executive Officer. He gave the company a strategic direction, thereby driving the necessary realignment of the company with great dedication and has steered the company successfully through an economically difficult time”, says Dr. Jürgen Steim, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the KERN-LIEBERS Group. ”By extending his mandate ahead of time, we are emphasizing our confidence in Mr. Speckert. We believe that he will continue to drive forward the transformation process of the KERN-LIEBERS Group”.

The shareholders furthermore decided to appoint Mr. Udo von Reinersdorff as new Chief Financial Officer of the KERN-LIEBERS Group from January 2023 on. Mr. Alexander Tobert, current Chief Financial Officer of the KERN-LIEBERS Group, will leave the company by end of this year.

“For the past 25 years, Mr. Tobert has contributed considerably to the success of KERN-LIEBERS. We sincerely thank him for his commitment and loyalty throughout this time. At the same time, we are pleased to welcome Mr. von Reinersdorff at KERN-LIEBERS. He will bring extensive professional experience as well as broad industry knowledge to the Group”, commented Dr. Erek Speckert.

Mr. von Reinersdorff has a track record of 12 years’ experience as CFO in the manufacturing and food & beverage sector. He has worked as CFO for a variety of family-owned, international companies during his career, namely Ploucquet, a manufacturer specialized on textile finishing and the Handtmann Group, a diversified company that also has substantial automotive exposure. For the past four years, Mr. von Reinersdorff was CFO of a division of the Theo Mueller Group.

Mr. von Reinersdorff holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Friedrich-Alexander-University in Nueremberg. He is 57 years old, married and has one daughter.
