The KERN LIEBERS Group develops and manufactures precision steel strip and wire products of the highest quality at over 40 locations worldwide with around 6,130 employees.
COURSE CONTENT
This computer science course provides students with a sound knowledge of traditional computer science subjects such as programming, hardware and software engineering as well as the basic subjects of mathematics, physics, electrical engineering and communications engineering. From the 5th semester onwards, the focus on "Industrial Automation" teaches you about the interaction of hardware and software in areas of technical computer science that go hand in hand with the "Industry 4.0" megatrend. In the practical phases, you will work in information technology and digitalization as well as in design or mechanical engineering. Due to the intensive, electrotechnical focus of the degree course, you can take on similar tasks to engineers. Your work will focus on the development of applications and tools, software and automation solutions, as well as the provision of information technology know-how from system planning to system integration and maintenance.
