For the perfect combination of plastic & metal
Whether multi-component, insert or outsert technology: At KERN LIEBERS you will find all the important plastic injection molding processes to enhance your springs, stamped parts or stamped-bent parts with indispensable functions.

With multi-component technology, the components are made from several plastic materials. The combination of different plastics enables the integration of important functions such as sealing, mechanical damping, bearings, thermal and electrical insulation.

In insert technology, an insert is embedded in a mold and then overmolded with plastic. The insert can be made of different materials, such as metal, electrical contacts or other functional parts. This technique is often used to improve the mechanical properties of plastic parts, e.g. by inserting threaded inserts.

With outsert technology, a sheet metal part is only partially overmolded with plastic. The stamped part usually has a larger volume or surface area than the plastic that is injected. This method is often used when the metal part forms the main structure of the component and the plastic only has a supplementary function.
