Toolmaking

Our toolmaking department develops and builds punching tools as well as highly complex fine blanking, progressive die and stamping and bending tools. Thanks to state-of-the-art CAD and simulation solutions, you can rely on fast and cost-efficient design.

The tools are manufactured at all KERN LIEBERS locations. For particularly demanding requirements, we have close relationships with external service providers. This means we can always offer you the best solution.

Process simulation

For simulations, we use leading solutions such as ColdForge, Ansys and Simufact. These tools allow us to simulate a variety of scenarios, from research and development to customer parts, tools and processes. By using these software solutions, we can achieve precise and reliable results that help to optimize our designs and processes.

Technical cleanliness

Trends such as electrification and miniaturization are leading to increasing demands on component cleanliness. In order to meet these requirements, we focus on creating particularly clean production environments and continuously developing our state-of-the-art industrial washing systems.

The evaluation of our components with regard to technical cleanliness is carried out at our sites by means of series-accompanying tests in special cleanliness laboratories. These measures ensure that our products meet the highest standards of cleanliness and offer you flawless functionality and durability.

Packaging

The packaging of metallic components and assemblies plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products during transportation and storage. We rely on state-of-the-art packaging technologies and materials and develop customized solutions in close cooperation with our suppliers and customers.

We attach great importance to protection against corrosion, mechanical damage and other environmental influences as well as good suitability for further processing by the customer.

A wide variety of special and individual part packaging solutions can be implemented to ensure that products can be optimally fed into the assembly process. Tape & reel, tray and tube packaging are well-known types of individual part packaging.
