Your responsibilities:
- Feasibility check each new request from the customer and evaluate the required investments, such as tooling, equipment, etc., according to customer requirements and prepare a reliable cost calculation. If necessary, conduct customer visits and communicate with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to obtain a nomination for a new project.
- Leading the development of new projects by forming a project team, creating a project plan including schedule, quality planning and investments etc. Organizing regular project meetings and tracking the progress of the project to clarify open issues in a timely manner. Monitor and control project costs (investment plan and product costs) and quality performance to ensure that the project can be realized in line with the planned objectives.
- Plan manufacturing processes for new products, organize sample productions, collect process and quality data during trial run, organize related functions to address technical issues and develop solutions with support from other functions for execution.
- Preparing project documents according to IATF and customer requirements, taking effective actions in case of non-conformities during internal and external audits.
- Provide technical support to customers when required to improve customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other functions to improve process and quality performance for series products (CIP).
- Creating and maintaining BOMs and routines in the SAP system for new products.
- Continuous improvement of technical expertise and project management skills on the job.
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, major in mechanical engineering or metal related materials.
- At least 6 years of experience in project management in the stamping and metal processing industry and relevant project experience in the automotive industry is an advantage.
- Experience in managing at least one project from development phase to mass production.
- Good knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes in the areas of stamping, laser welding, machining, deburring, coating, heat treatment, etc.
- Project experience with assembly components in the automotive industry is an advantage.
- You have experience in project management and have a strong technical background and are familiar with product or process development in the automotive industry.
- You must be familiar with drawings, GD&T, DOE and technical specifications.
- Good knowledge of automotive quality tools including MSA, SPC, APQP, PPAP, FMEA.
- Basic English skills - reading and writing are a must, fluency is a plus.
- Good knowledge of MS Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook etc.
