Full-time Spring Operator (M/F/D)

Main tasks
- Inspect parts according to inspection plan and control plan
- Lubricate springs as required
- Turn parts as required
- Pack springs as required
- Operator is responsible for all quality aspects of the product
- Continuously checks compliance with quality specifications using calipers, micrometers, gauges, load tests and optical equipment.
- Records data in production and quality control records and performs S.P.C. procedures.
- Operator is responsible for operating as many machines as possible without neglecting employee safety or product quality.
- He must operate the machine in accordance with the approved machine cycle and productivity requirements.
- These requirements may change due to organizational restructuring.
- Operators work closely with engineering at all times.
- Comply with all safety, TS 16949 and ISO 9000 requirements
- You must follow all environmental, health and safety guidelines while striving to minimize energy and material consumption.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Must have (1-3) one to three years of experience in machine operation and use of SPC and precision measuring equipment. Knowledge of CNC machines, their operation and reading print data.
- Strong math skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of 5s
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks
- Minimum of 1 year working experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to stand, walk and bend for the majority of the shift
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Some climbing, crawling and/or kneeling may be required
Benefits
The position pays $21.17/hr with the opportunity for an additional 8% weekly bonus and 2% attendance bonus, bringing the pay to $23.28/hr. This is a unionized position for our afternoon shift from 3:15pm to 11:45pm.
