Rieden, 26.03.2026 - The KERN LIEBERS Group has entered into talks with the employee representatives at the Rieden site about the future economic direction of the site. The reason for this is the continuing challenging economic conditions in Europe, particularly in the automotive sector, as well as the generally subdued economic outlook in Germany.
The aim of the talks is to develop a sustainable and economically viable solution for the Rieden site. The management of the KERN LIEBERS Group emphasizes that the talks are open-ended. In this context, various scenarios are being examined in order to ensure long-term competitiveness.
"We are in an intensive and constructive exchange with the employee representatives. Our common goal is to act responsibly, transparently and with a view to long-term development," explains Dr. Erek Speckert, CEO of the KERN LIEBERS Group.
The possibility of downsizing or closing the site is also being considered. However, no decision has been made at present. All options are being carefully examined.
KERN LIEBERS will inform the public as soon as reliable results from the discussions are available.
