Psm protech thereby becomes part of the Kern-Liebers group of companies with worldwide operations. KERN-LIEBERS is an international supplier to system manufacturers for the automotive, textile and consumer goods industries. The corporate group develops and manufactures superior quality precision products made of strip metal, wire, plastic composite and special materials in over 50 operating legal units around the globe. By taking over the company Carl Haas and its sites in Schramberg, Stribro (Czech Republic) and Milheirós – Maia (Portugal) in 2006, the KERN-LIEBERS group took the first step towards expanding its expertise in the field of plastic composite parts. „A majority share in psm protech will further enhance this expertise“, points out Dr. Udo Schnell, Chairman of the Executive Board of KERN-LIEBERS. With this targeted acquisition the KERN-LIEBERS group wishes to continue its worldwide growth for the benefit of its customers and to round off its area of expertise with metal-plastic composite parts and assemblies.

With around 220 qualified employees in Marktschellenberg (Bavaria/Germany) and Zalaegerszeg (Hungary) and a sales volume of 15 Mio. EUR, psm protech features an innovative tool and mold construction department, its own specialist plant design and construction section as well as state-of-the-art plastic injection molding and stamping workshops. The company is a supplier to system manufacturers for the design and manufacture of complex parts and components. „psm protech will profit from joining an international network with financial power and expertise in the automotive sector“, says Irene Wagner, who will continue to act as Managing Partner of psm protech and who is looking forward to this venture. „In future our company will work closely together with Carl Haas. The existing customer portfolios of both companies complement one another perfectly. Through the merger we can attract new customers, serve existing customers better and win major international projects that are awarded globally.“
